A night time scene; in the foreground is a wide street and at the back of this wide street stands the "Electric Tower," a tower which is illuminated by lights placed along its legs and one brighter light at the top; on the right side of the tower buildings line the street.
"214 feet high. Built in 1882. Lit up to Celebrate "Admission Day" - on the Fithieth annerversery of the admission of California as a state of the Union. Scene taken at mid-night. San Jose the First State Capital."
