Description
Francellene Biane Roper (1927-2010) was born in Cucamonga (now Rancho Cucamonga), California to a family with a long history in the southern California wine industry. She began working for the Biane family's Brookside Winery stores in 1970 and continued until its closure in 1985. She broke new ground for women working in the wine industry, becoming the first female member of the Wine Institute and the Wine Advisory Board.
