Photograph of the Windermere Hotel on a bluff in Santa Monica, [s.d.]. The hotel is at center and is on top of a steep rocky cliff. The hotel is a large, light colored building with two large towers at center. It is surrounded by a variety of trees and bushes, as well a several smaller buildings. At the base of the cliff, a line of utility poles runs parallel to a paved road. The road is densely lined with early-model automobiles. A small "U"-shaped building is in the foreground and a row of small prefabricated buildings adjoins it at left. The edge of the sandy beach is visible in the foreground at left, and several beach-goers are making their way across it.
