Description
Letter from Cribari while serving in the 3rd Army Military Police, Company D, in Coblenz, Germany [now Koblenz], addressed to Mrs. Clara Bisceglia of Montclair, New Jersey: Dear Folks: New Jersey Here I am doing the very same thing that I was doing about 4 months ago. But the rumors that I heard this morning were very good, a young lad that didn't see him since last July in France he told me where I meet him in France last July, they are receiving 1000 men pretty near a week at the time, these men are sent to every division in the Army of Occupation. First the men that have [?] are going to be relieved first, then men in there reserv [?]. So I can say that in the month of June I ote to be on my way home time is getting neary and neary and I am well and to good in health. The other day a man was discharge and he lives a few blocks from Richard home I gave him a letter to take to him and said to let you people known. There were about 6 men that day that receive there discharge and the next day left for dear old good U.S.A. Some time ago my Captain in the M.P. always got after me on account for not being clean close and shave and also to salute officers as they went by on my post. He called me in his office and gave me a good talking in Soldiering I told him if I could be transfer to some other outfit he said yes and in about 3 or 4 days was transfer to the 1st Pioneer Inf. They have got good rumors that they are coming home this month. I am doing nothing every other 4th day I chase prisoner of wars [?] I have done that before soldiers in Germany. Yours respectfully Pasquale S. Cribari
