Description
Film clips created in 1938 by the San Jose Department of Recreation highlighting children's activities at parks and camps. Includes Easter activities at Alum Rock Park; nature walk in field of poppies; fossils at a lake; trip to the ocean; Maypole dancing; parade in San Jose; square dancing; crafts; girls' picnic at "Hungry Hollow," swimming, and archery; Black Mountain Boys Camp horseback riding, swimming, and shooting practice.
Note on original film can: 1938, Early Rec - Braunhall -, Girls Camp, Black Mountain Boys Camp, Spartan Stadium - May Day Celebration - Canter Bleachers only.
