Description
S. Kemble writes James Thomson saying that Thomson's letter with his prologue has been received. Kemble comments on the prologue. Page 2 is a self-cover. The page 2 scan was rotated 90 degrees clockwise. A separate letter signed S. Kemble dated 1818 September 18 is attached to page 2. In Kemble's letter, it is stated that the farce, "Astonishment," has been read, and Kemble assures that "its production will be amongst the first novelties of the Theatre." S. Kemble is probably Stephen Kemble. A portion of the letter is cut out.
