Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated September 29, 1950 reads "Peter Zeola 'relaxes' with trinkets after regular day's work." Zeola, an immigrant from Italy, learned the marble trade at an early age. He migrated to the United States in 1920 and worked on Los Angeles City schools, the Roosevelt Hotel and at churches and other buildings throughout the city.
