Photograph was edited for publication purposes. The Riverside International Raceway was a motorsports raceway located in Moreno Valley, Riverside County. The raceway, popular, but known as being fairly dangerous, was in operation from 1957 to 1989. The land is now occupied by a mall and residential neighborhoods. Photograph caption date stamped December 24, 1964 reads "Actress Shelby Grant will reign as queen of the third annual Motor Trend Riverside 500 on Jan. 17 at the Riverside International Raceway. Top name auto racing drivers will compete for $65,000 in prizes in the 500-mile NASCAR stock car road race." The raceway is in Moreno Valley.
