"Three Reasons why We Manufacture Six-Sevenths of them with knife sections 2 1/4 Inches wide and not 3 inches wide. N. B. -- Determined to please every taste, however, we make our mowers with 3-inch section [sic] also, which we furnish when it is desired. First Reason. Because (the length of the bars being the same) the 2 1-4 inch Section Bar draws at least 20 per cent. easier than the 3-inch Section Bar.
