Photograph caption dated December 19, 1958 reads, "Chick Hearn, sports director of KRCA (4), explains to daughter Janis what to look for in the battle between Iowa and California at the Rose Bowl, while wife Marge and son Gary listen in. Hearn family, all ardent football fans, will attend the game where Chick again broadcasts color over the NBC coast-to-coast television network."
