Description: Shown here is the interior of the Alert Drug Store at 802 American Avenue (later, Long Beach Boulevard), showing the soda fountain. Malted milk is advertised. The soda counter is embellished with decorative tiles. The fountain's upholstered stools are backless. Cigars and cigar products fill a number of the glass display cases (center and right). Near the rear of the store, a man stands leaning against the counter at left.The store later moved to 1145 E. Tenth Street. DATE NOTES: Noted on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 5" x 7" sepia matte print.
