Photograph caption dated February 26, 1962 reads "Mrs. Joan McRae, Northridge, and member of Town and Country Motors bowling team of Reseda, will be one of the many entries in the Los Angeles city women's championships that starts Saturday evening at Starlite Lanes and Matador Bowl. Mrs. McRae holds a 172 average and has rolled a 300 game. Watching Mrs. McRae are, left, Mrs. Edith Schultz, president of the San Fernando Valley Women's Bowling Association, and Mrs. Margaret Butler, secretary of the SFVBA. The city tourney will draw 382 teams, 494 doubles and 988 singles to make it the largest city event ever staged."
