Description
Pictured here is the exterior front entry to the Coed's Smart Shoppe, at 2159 Atlantic Avenue, owned by Mrs. Hazel Lowe and Mrs. Helen Murray. The store's neon shop sign is mounted vertically at the center front of the store entrance. The shop occupies a space in a larger brick building. In the windows, women's apparel is on display amid arrangements of cut bamboo stalks. A sign posted next to a dress in the window reads, "Kay-Cristy of Hollywood, $16.95-19.95." Each window has a simple art deco style upper border. A streetlight standard is visible at far left in the foreground. DATE NOTES: Noted on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W glossy print.
