Description
Venice residents will likely recognize "Skate", or at least his face. He is often seen washing cars in the neighborhood and he loves to play the game "guess my age?" Skate moved from Canada to California when he was a child; he says he's lived in Venice since 1938. In this photo, Skate is seen wearing a cap with the Marlboro logo on it, a dark color "U.S.A." t-shirt, and denim jeans. He stands with hands crossed behind his back; a graffiti-ridden truck is visible in the background. Photograph dated October 24, 2002.
