Photograph caption dated June 29, 1963 reads, "Jack Epperly, co-owner of the Valley Tire Rebuilders, 162 E. Verdugo Ave., Burbank, inspects some of the 2,000 tires which were destroyed Friday when a barrel of paint exploded and started fire in the building. Loss of equipment and supplies, which included three autos in the one-story structure, was estimated at $40,000."
