Description: Caption: "Capitol Building -- Havana -- Cuba. July 4, 1934." The building seen in this photograph, reminiscent of the U.S. Capitol, served as Cuba's Capitol from its completion in 1929 until after the Cuban Revolution of 1959. Designed by Eugenio Rayneri Piedra, the building now houses the Cuban Academy of Sciences.
