Description
V1p364b In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 364 center. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written to right of photo: "Staging placed around Ferry Building Tower to make repairs of damage caused by the Earthquake 1906." Photo looks down Market Street directly at the Ferry Building, whose tower is surrounded by scaffolding. Despite the presence of two streetcars a great many people are making the trek to the Ferry Building on foot. A horse is close by the camera at the right.
