Description
Photograph article dated May 28, 1954 partially reads, "At least one - maybe more - sessions will be required to hear volunteer witnesses, Burbank Police Commissioners agreed after they listened four hours to conflicting testimony on several cases dismissed in Burbank Police Court. The commission adjourned until 7 p.m. next Wednesday. Special Counsel William I. Gilbert will be in Burbank City Hall all day Tuesday to interview persons who wish to add their testimony to the legislative hearing." Photograph caption reads, "Another version - Burbank Police Sgt. E. J. Vandergrift, above, tells commissioners he believes evidence seized in arrest was sufficient. Fellow officer Lt. Robert Loranger backed him up."
