Description
This photo taken from a high angle shows the front and side of Barker Brothers Department Store, located on the northwest corner of Broadway and Locust Avenue. The building exhibits vertical art deco details, especially on the third and fourth levels, and along the roof. Display windows are obscured by curtains and awnings. Banners on the building advertise "Barker Brothers August Clearance." The store opened September 27, 1929 and was demolished in the 1990's. DATE NOTES: Noted on image back. ORIG.
