Description
"Clarence G. Vincent & first wife." Clarence G. Vincent and his wife Hannah K. Vincent served the a cappella Churches of Christ as missionaries in Japan from 1911 to 1916. Primarily located in Tokyo, they joined William and Clara Bishop in their work at the Kamitomizaka Church. Vincent later preached in the Japanese prefecture of Ibaraki, where he claimed to be the first missionary to work in the area. The Vincents departed Japan in June 1916, due to the failing health of Mrs. Vincent.
