Description
Photograph caption dated December 12, 1957 reads "Battalion Chief L. W. Nelson aids Earl Hackleman, 38, who fled from his burning home today after gas heater apparently exploded in residence at 3883 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood. Interior of home was destroyed. Hackleman, who was awakened by smoke, was taken to North Hollywood Hospital with 'moderately severe' burns."
