Description
Photograph used in an article dated August 5, 1961 shows 26-year-old, Ronald E. Meador who has just graduated from an eight week training program to become a firefighter, grasping his new badge in his hands. He was one of 40 men to complete the program. His father, Deputy Chief Marvin E. Meador, pinned the badge onto his son during the graduation ceremony that took place at the Fire Department's North Hollywood school at 7063 Laurel Canyon Blvd.; See images #00112810 through #00112811 for all photos in this series.
