Description
Jack Matson was born in Kansas City, Missouri, 1926. He joined the Navy in 1944. He remained in the Navy Reserve and retired in 1986 with the rank of Captain. He served on active duty at the end of WWII, Korean War, and the Vietnam War. After graduating from the University of Michigan, he, his wife and two sons moved to Whittier in 1954. He opened his own Architectural office in 1957 and retired in 2001. He died in Whittier in 2005.
