Photograph article dated December 12, 1960 partially reads, "Beverly Hawley is a failure who has made good. At 23, the pert, honey-blonde with a warm, friendly smile is shoulder-deep in activities that have intrigued her since childhood. Miss Hawley is the new recreation director for girls and women at the Reseda Playground, 18411 Victory Blvd. She was assigned to the post last month after working similar jobs at other playgrounds operated by the City of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation."
