On February 2, 1985, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor addresses the students and faculty of the Pepperdine University Law School by discussing her recent appointment as the first woman to be a justice for the U.S. Supreme Court. She describes reactions, both positive and negative, to her appointment, as well as her typical work day at the court and with other justices. At this dinner, a bronze bust of O’Connor is unveiled and will be displayed permanently at the Pepperdine School of Law.
