According to newspaper article, Arthur Drooger admitted to police investigators that he stabbed and dismembered Shirley Lee Andrews. Mrs. Andrews was the wife of Jack Andrews, civillian employee at Edwards Air Force Base.
Photograph caption dated July 14, 1959 reads, "Murder suspect. Arthur Drooger, 33, is questioned in knife slaying of pretty Lancaster bride, Mrs. Shirley Lee Andrews. Bandage covers cuts investigators believe were made by murder weapon."
