Description
Image of two vignettes featuring men, women, and children, including one African American man; fashion details include Orientalism, riding habit with full skirt and jacket bodice, child's jacket with matching short trousers, men's day and evening wear, overcoat, frock coats and tail coats worn with waistcoats, bow ties and cravats, pantaloons and trousers for men and boys; sporting attire pictured including caps, boots, bag, and rifle; accessories include top hats, canes, gloves, child's cap, and feathered hat; reference key for figures numbered 1-21 in margin.
"Gravé par Chanson."--text, bottom left margin. "Entered According to Act of Congress in the year 1860 by Genio C. Scott in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the Southern District of N.Y."--text, bottom center margin.
