Ulla C. blev efter læreruddannelse indviet til diakonisse på Sankt Lukas Stiftelsen i Hellerup, 1967. Efter kinesiske sprogstudier i Taiwan blev hun først ansat ved et kristent studentercenter i Taichung og herefter ved Studentercentret i Tainan. Senere arbejdede Ulla C. på Kirkekontoret i Taipei som sekretær for Præsidenten i TLC. (se også senere portræt)

Missionary Ulla Christiansen.(photo from 1972). Sent by DMS to Taiwan, 1972-89. After finishing teacher's training she was consecrated as deaconess at the St. Luke Foundation, Hellerup, 1967. - Following Chinese language studies in Taiwan, she worked at Student Centres, first in Taichung and from 1977 in Tainan. Later she moved to the Church Office at Taipei as secretary for the President of TLC. (See also later portrait).
