Description
Probable date based on history of when Muncie Skates were manufactured and advertised. Thad A. Neely patented the Muncie roller skate model in 1882. Advertisements appear on Newspapers.com from 1883 for the Muncie adjustable skate. Printer, J.M.W. Jones was active from 1867-1905. "We Use the Muncie Skate of Muncie, Ind." --text, top of print. "Grand Roller Skating Assemblies." --text, bottom of print. "Lith. by the J.M.W. Jones S&P. Chicago." --text, center, bottom of margin.
