Photograph caption dated May 29, 1965 reads, "Boyd Barton, junior church teacher and official auctioneer at the Church of Religious Science, 6161 Whitsett Ave., North Hollywood, finds bidding hot and heavy as he sells the work of blooming artists in an auction Sunday. Members of the Saturday art workshops held at the church the artists ran in age from 5 to 16. Hottest bidders were proud mothers and fathers. Money raised by the unique auction and potluck dinner will be used to purchase Sunday school audio equipment."
