Caption dated October 17, 1962 reads, "A quiet, hillside street in Studio City was doused with water early today after Mrs. Phyllis Mitchell Holzer, 28, 4706 Katherine Ave., Sherman Oaks, lost control of her car, and the sedan sheered off a fire hydrant, flattened a light standard and rammed into a telephone pole, police said. Mrs. Holzer was given first aid by Donald Reed, a postman and a member of a coast Guard Reserve medical unit, who was one of the Laurel Terrace Dr. residents awakened by the crash. The woman was treated at Valley Receiving Hospital and transferred to Santa Monica Hospital with minor injuries, police said."
