Description
Seven trellises were compared for both Thompson Seedless and Flame Seedless table grapes. The Thompson Seedless trial included three single crossarm trellises and four double crossarm trellises. The Flame Seedless trial included single and double crossarm trellises with bilateral cordons and quadrilateral cordons with single, double, and triple crossarms. A single four-foot-wide crossarm trellis produced as much packable fruit as any double crossarm trellis in Thompson Seedless. Quadrilateral trained vines with two-foot-wide cordon-support crossarms and a four-foot-wide foliar support crossarm produced the most packable fruit with Flame Seedless.
