Photograph caption dated March 18, 1979 reads, "Among the celebrants of St. Patrick's Day yesterday in Los Angeles were an estimated 40 protesters at the British Consulate on Wilshire Boulevard. Their complaint was familiar - the continued presence of English troops in Ireland." The consulate is located in the office complex for Home Savings and Loan Association, located at 3701-3731 Wilshire Boulevard and designed by Edward Durrell Stone; the complex later became Wilshire Colonnade.
