Description
Members of the Pomona College Masquers organization. This photograph can also be found on page 71 of the 1917 Pomona College yearbook, "Metate". The following information is listed there about the Masquers: "The Pomona College Masquers, formed in nineteen hundred thirteen by the cast which produced 'The Merchant of Venice,' has become, through its aim to present well-organized and well-directed plays, one of the most active societies at Pomona. Two plays each year are put on by the Masquers, the second semester production being the Athletic Benefit staged in the Greek Theater some time in May. Membership in the Masquers is attained by public tryout or successful participation in a college play".
