Walter Burke, 17, in quest of adventure and a movie career arrived in a freight "gondola." When he jumped off the "gondola" in the Santa Fe yards, he was astonished when a girl greeted him. She represented the Travelers' Aid Society, which watches incoming trains. She cajoled Walter into posing for a picture--"just as you are." Photo dated: February 8, 1929.
