Description
Interior of the Boynton Normal Institute with desks. Boynton Normal was a teacher education program in Los Angeles run by Cyrus Boynton to prepare teachers for county exams. It opened September 19, 1892 at 120 1/2 S. Spring Street and moved to the Stimson Block, a boarding house at 3rd and Spring Streets, in August 1895.
