Photograph caption dated July 27, 1957 reads, "Miss Poncho Frankel, 13-year-old star from Glendale, will compete in tonight's Jumper Stake at the Santa Barbara County Fair and Horse Show. Miss Frankel, along with many other Valleyites, will be jumping for $7,000 prize money offered by Alex Madonna of San Luis Obispo."
