Photograph caption dated June 19, 1965 reads "From rags to riches to rags to riches--it's radio!" The article partially reads "Take the matter of a degree. Michael Jackson, a top Los Angeles newscaster and commentator on KNX who, according to Newsweek Magazine, turned down an offer of $75,000 a year elsewhere, doesn't have one. But he says 'get a degree' if you want to go into radio."
