Description
The photo caption that appeared with this picture in the Sacramento Bee on September 24, 1973 states: "At Sacramento service stations today, motorists lined up, in cars and afoot, to "fill 'er up" in advance of a weekend shutdown of stations." Fuel prices in the photo were 35.9 cents per gallon for regular and 39.6 cents for supreme.
