Description
A list of incarcerees transferred by train from the Tule Lake camp, California, to the Minidoka camp, Idaho. It lists family heads alphabetically along with the number of family members in each household and the address assigned in the Minidoka camp. Yoshio Usui and 9 family members are scheduled for transfer from Tule Lake camp to Minidoka by the first train. The Usui Family Papers consist of documents pertaining to the family's experiences of the forced evacuation and incarceration during World War II. The Usui Family was incarcerated in the Tule Lake camp, California, and transferred to the Minidoka camp, Idaho. Included are correspondence, gate pass, receipts, census conducted among Issei incarcerees, student report cards, lists of transfers from Tule Lake to Minidoka, a directory of the incarcerees in the Minidoka camp, and publications. All items originally belonged to the Donald Teruo Hata and Nadine Ishitani Hata Asian Pacific Studies Collection.
