Caption dated July 10, 1958 reads, "Donald Leffingwell, 31, of Glendale, talks to Marshall Doug Forman in Burbank Municipal Court after Leffingwell pleaded not guilty to charges of resisting arrest, petty theft and assault. Leffingwell is accused of throwing groceries at police officer who tried to arrest him. Officer shot Leffingwell in left arm as he chased suspect. Leffingwell's bail was set at $250, his trial Aug. 5."
