Photograph article dated June 4, 1965 partially reads, "Among many bromides heard every day is the one that goes 'Like father, like son.' Come graduation time on the campus of Valley College this commonplace saying will be given a new twist, one that might better read, 'like mother, like son.' The need to update this saying stems from the fact that Mrs. Marion Craig and her son Ellis (Buddy) are both members of the graduating class of 1965."
