Description: Victor in the "race of races" was Black Swan, shown with its owner, Jose Sepulveda. Sepulveda imported the horse from Australia and just before the race, Black Swan made a 400-mile trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Photo dated: December 16, 1935.
