Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated November 27, 1948 reads, "A month ago Louis Lenz of 13115 Bloomfield St., Studio City asked the city to remove a termite-ridden black acacia tree from the parkway in front of his home. 'The maintenance men said they wouldn't do it, not until the tree fell down,' Lenz said. Today it is down. When yesterday's near-gale winds slashed into the weakened 75-foot tree it collapsed. It crushed the station wagon of Ralph Byxbee, a real estate man of 621 N. Naomi St., Burbank. Byxbee had been out of the car only a couple of minutes discussing a deal with Lenz. He estimated damage to his 1946 car at between $300 and $500." Pictured is Ralph C. Byxbee, looking at the 75-foot acacia resting atop his station wagon.
