C.A. Lehman, a Long Beach public school educator and model train maker, sits next to a display of model locomotives he personally constructed for the Pacific Southwest Exposition. They are, top row: Union Pacific engine #7500; 2nd row from top, Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe locomotive; 3rd row from top, Southern Pacific Lines locomotive #3717; 4th row from top, left, Pennsylvania engine #1067 and, right, New York Central Lines engine # 1248; 5th row from top, left, C.M. & ST.P.R.R. engine #379 and two unlabeled engines; bottom row, left, Pioneer, C. & N.W.R.R. and two unlabeled engines. All the models ran under their own power.
