There is an open stretch, possibly a road, stretching across the width of the image, with one parked automobile and a few people on it. Beyond this open area are widely spaced buildings and a steep wooded incline. The Pacific Ocean is on the left, with a long pier extending from the land. A note written in white in the bottom left corner reads "Pierce 8021".
