Description
Photos taken by Callie Parsons' uncle Willard Parsons while serving in World War I. The photos were sent to Mrs. C. H. Parsons, postmarked Omaha, Nebraska, June 7, 1918, with a note, "Please keep these for me as we are not allowed to save them. All well. Regards to all, Willey." Parsons served in the Balloon Corps and also flew Spud biplanes. Nine prints were included with the letter, one of which is labeled, "Campus scene O.H.S. Univ. May 1918." The prints do not appear to correlate exactly to the negatives, and appear to be scenes from the war. The negatives appear mostly to be from the U.S., possibly the University of Ohio area. Several of the negatives are labeled: "ELKS - COL", "Ohio Univ."
