Description
Photograph of a view of old town San Diego, showing the ruins of the old jail and the mission church, ca.1906. A dilapidated wooden shack is visible in the left foreground, just in front of the remains of a brick wall which are supposedly the ruins of the old jail. In the background, one- to two-story prarie homes can be seen, spaced irregularly across an uneven terrain. The picture file card lists the home of Rafael Mamades and the mission church as visible as well. Scrub vegetation covers the ground.
