Photograph caption dated December 8, 1928 reads, "Photos show group of entertainers who presented a musical program at The Evening Herald's extemporaneous oratorical contest held at Polytechnic high school last night. Thelma Hayes, organist, and Radburn Robinson, baritone soloist, both students of Polytechnic, who appeared in concert, are pictured in the upper photo."
