2008 CSWA Awards Luncheon. Annual California Social Welfare Archives Awards Luncheon, Vineyard Room, Davidson Conference Center (3415 South Figueroa Street), University of Southern California, Los Angeles, 2008 October 21. Introductions by Esther Gillies and Marilyn Flynn. Areta Crowell, former Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, was the keynote speaker presenting "Public Mental Health Programs in Los Angeles County: Past, Present and Future". Frances Wu received the George D. Nickel Award for Outstanding Professional Services. Ann Thor received the George D. Nickel Award for Outstanding Volunteer Services.
