Introductions by Esther Gillies and Marilyn Flynn. Areta Crowell, former Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, was the keynote speaker presenting "Public Mental Health Programs in Los Angeles County: Past, Present and Future". Frances Wu received the George D. Nickel Award for Outstanding Professional Services. Ann Thor received the George D. Nickel Award for Outstanding Volunteer Services.
